About Tamara

Tamara Page, E-RYTTAMARA PAGE, E-R.Y.T. with Yoga Alliance, has over 25 years experience in yoga and meditation. She received extensive 5 year teacher training at the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York and in Connecticut under the tutelage of senior Iyengar teacher Mary Dunn. Throughout the years Tamara has studied other disciplines of yoga that are incorporated into her teaching style. Tamara has studied and taught meditation techniques in the Buddhist tradition of Vipassana and Mindfulness Meditation. 

Tamara is also the founder of Discover & Recover, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides yoga therapy services to communities in need.

She is experienced in teaching privately and in groups, at homes, hospitals, schools, corporations, workshops and community centers. Tamara also trains yoga teachers who are studying to become qualified teachers through Yoga Alliance at all levels.

As a native Floridian who lived in New York for the past 26 years, Tamara has relocated and settled permanently into her home in Sarasota, Florida.  Her teaching experience over the last four years in Sarasota includes working with the population of Long Boat Key Club, Bath & Racquet, Club, condominiums and corporate classes and privately working with seniors up to the age of 99 years.  

Tamara is passionate about sharing her experience and facilitating growth for those who are inspired to live more fulfilling lives physically, nutritionally, emotionally and spiritually. Through her caring guidance, Tamara encourages her students to awaken to their highest self and become fully integrated. All of her sessions are taught with emphasis on safe, proper alignment and regulated breathing.

Tamara also practices as a Yoga Coach working one to one with clients, customizing wellness programs that empower one to take charge and care for their personal health, practice disease prevention and achieve optimal health as a way of life. As a coach, Tamara motivates, educates and trains her clients to engage in new lifestyle habits that are sustainable for daily living.
